We operate a Dog & Puppy Day Creche & Hydrotherapy Centre and in the summer of 2002 a beautiful, little, six month-old Shar-pei puppy called "Brandy" came to stay for two weeks while her owners went away on holiday. This was our first experience of the breed. She was adorable and we fell madly in love with her. On their return from holidays her owners, for various reasons, decided they no longer wanted her and offered us first refusal. We naturally accepted her on the spot and eventually she became our first matriarch. She had bags of character and was a leader of the pack.

We immediately started training her for which she needed very little and was a natural show dog winning her first class. She went on to win Best in Show.

Nearly a year later we purchased our second bitch puppy, "Amber" who had a completely different personality and temperament, much more laid back and because we had her as an eight-week old puppy she went everywhere with me on my lap. And even as a grown dog still at times thinks she is a lap dog.

Since then our kennel has grown to five breeding bitches and two proven studs. The kennel is set in very beautiful rural surroundings in Suffolk.
